Introduction
BareFoot International Ltd, based in Tanzania, specializes in agricultural inputs like fertilizers, seeds, animal health products, Animal feeds and additives, agrochemicals, and farm equipment. With a network of Sales Representatives, we distribute these products across all regions, supporting local farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity.
BareFoot International Limited is looking for a Field Marketing Assistant, who will be reporting to the Country Manager, and his/her key responsibility is to implementing marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing action plans (Marketing) to achieve set Qualitative and Quantitative targets (Market Reach/Penetration).
- Identifying and recruiting new customers – Agrovets, Farms, and Institutions.
- Identifying Business Growth Areas for existing portfolio.
- Identification of demand gaps, publicity of marketing activities and conducting Marketing Activities Including but not limited to Farmers trainings, In Shop Promotions, Field Day Exhibitions and Trade Fairs, Stockist Sales Activations, Farm/Institution Visits, Counter Sales Staff Training and Cattle Market Day Promotions.
- Data collection, Collation, Analysis and harnessing the same for marketing/sales lead generation.
- Collation and Preparation of monthly route/market/activity/product Impact Reports
- Monitoring competitor activities and recommending appropriate actions to protect and grow market share.
- Market Feedback and advising on innovative new product(s) for product development.
- Monitor market trends and conditions and identify any opportunities for competitive advantage, report/escalate relevant insights to the line management.
- Keep accurate records and documentation of customers, orders, sales numbers, promotional activities, use of monetary and other resources allocated for use as tools of trade, as per the format/instructions that may be issued from time to time.
- Participate in Company’s training programs; actively seek new learning opportunities and professional development to keep up with latest trends in the animal health and production industry.
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty, and provide post-sales support and addressing customer issues or concerns
- Setting and monitoring KPIs to measure the success of marketing initiatives, and adjusting strategies based on performance data to achieve better results.
- Accountability of promotional materials
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Candidates for the Field Marketing Assistant position should possess a Certificate or Diploma in Animal Health or a related field. In addition, they must have a minimum of two years of experience in veterinary pharmaceutical sales.
This experience should include a proven track record of successfully promoting and selling veterinary products, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, and providing post-sales support.
Skills
Must have a deep understanding of the animal health industry, the ability to identify market opportunities, and the skills to develop and execute effective marketing strategies.
Strong communication and data analysis skills are also essential, as the role involves collecting market data, monitoring trends, and providing feedback for product development.
